After reading Ornament and Crime by Adolf Loos, a group of questions come to my mind -
“How do we define ornament?”
“Are all kinds of ornaments crime?”
“Will this point of view change according to the time and the technological development?”
I can't tell but, perhaps, instead of a very precise and neutral article, he rather liked to persuasively express his radical idea to against any ornament in architecture for the period of his time.
For me, 4-day Excursion is like a big collage of images waiting for being digested and understood. Tones of snapshots start to mix up my mind what Ornament should be in our time. What do we remember?
Our studio's name is Deep Ornament. Does it say ornament is something can be measured? Ornament is something extensive or intensive?
