BEDZRA + Osteoderms

In this breed, there was a rewind in the evolution process of the last one. This time I tried to address issues raised concerning aperture scale and rigour on form. Image #3 shows an attempt to elevate some osteoderms off skin.

Cosmos,
thanks for posting your inbetween results.
You have done a considerable step forward and appreciate your exploration of Osteoderms as envelope and surface articulation strategy.
Nonetheless there is one or two things that I want you to consider in more detail.

Now that you found a possible technique please think thoroughly WHERE you apply openings and WHY you put them there.

The other issue that still is not resolved in your project is SCALE. Maybe it can help you if you put some 3D human figures into your model, so that you have a more clear understanding of how big your project really is.

Use the function I showed you guys in Maya (alt +t) to see how big your object is..

Here is a couple of example of buildings in different scales so to give you a better understanding of the size of the project we are working on:

This is the interior of the Neue National Galerie, Mies van der Rohe, Berlin, 1965-68
This interior has around the size of 2000m2, about the size of our project. (Check out the size of the people!)

This is the Villa Savoye by Le Corbusier.
Check out the size of the fenestration!
Thats why I´m always saying that your projects look like one family housing projects...This house
has about 400m2.

Please take the issue of scale serious..

See you soon,
